Vito Gervasi is representing Cadens at AMUG 2021 in the technical competition. He printed and built a 1/10 scale replica of the fully functional AM test bed system that is currently installed and running at our Rome Mill test facility. Usually engineers and manufacturers do this the other way around… we went big first with large format additive manufacturing to build the small hydropower AM test bed and then Vito built the scale model to enter the project into the AMUG tech challenge! The AM test bed project all started by asking Dr. Lonnie Love if he’d be interested in working on a project to enter the AMUG tech challenge – working with Alex Roschli and all the folks at ORNL MDF has been such a pleasure. Nice job, Vito! Going bigger in 21/22!
